Last Saturday, I enjoyed kabuki with my friends.

I would like to talk about kabuki, a traditional Japanese culture, and its influence on health.

Kabuki is a traditional performing art that originated in Japan in the early 17th century and is characterized by dramatic performances, glamorous costumes, and unique makeup.

To begin with, appreciating the arts is known to affect mental health positively.

One of the Minato-ku Medical Association’s essential activities is providing a cultural lifestyle for everyone in the community.

At the Matsumi Ladies Clinic, we value health checkups and preventive medical care against gynecological cancer and influenza.

We also provide information for patients from overseas who want to experience Japanese culture.

Publicity for kabuki viewing is one of these activities.

More and more people are traveling abroad or from abroad to receive advanced medical treatment and to enjoy sightseeing.

This is called medical tourism.

Exposure to Japanese history and culture through kabuki can strengthen self-understanding and identity, not only for visitors from overseas but also for Japanese people.

Kabuki performances, along with their energetic performances and rhythmical music, can relieve stress from everyday work and other activities by allowing people to empathize with the stories and characters of kabuki.

The Kabuki-za Theater is located in Higashi-Ginza and conveniently accessible from Haneda and Narita airports.

While immersing themselves in Kabuki, those overseas can also get a physical checkup at Matsumi Ladies Clinic to ensure their mental and physical health.

The Asakusa Line provides quick and easy access to Mita from Higashi-Ginza.
