The topic of Matsumi Ladies Clinic Mita English blog in April is about flowers and aromatherapy.

In the final part, I create an article focusing on biology of flowers and aromatherapy.

A flower, sometimes known as a blossom, is a part of flowering plants, which has a role of reproduction.

The biological function of a flower is to provide a site of a plant for the union of sperms with eggs.

After fertilization of them, the ovary, a part of the female reproductive organ, develops into fruits containing seeds.

Among various kinds of complementary therapies, aromatherapy is one of the treatments based on the usage of aromatic materials, including essential oils and other aroma compounds.

An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid with chemical compounds from plants, which is easily evaporated at normal temperatures.

Aromatherapy is effective for improving psychological or physical well-being.

Each flower used in aromatherapy has its own fragrance and effect, which increases concentration or enhances relaxation.

The logo of Matsumi Ladies Clinic Mita is a motif of plumeria.

Plumeria is a flowering plant, which has five white petals.

In modern Polynesian culture, the flower can be worn by a lady to indicate the relationship status, that is, over the right ear if seeking her partner.

On the other hand, a lady with the flower over the left ear already has her partner.

Our clinic is filled with good aromas from the humidifier for relaxation of patients.
