The sense of smell is useful for finding the right partner.

 

Have you heard of “Pheromones”?

Pheromones are chemicals that plants, animals and insects secrete to send messages to the same species.

Animals and insects give off a unique individual odour and distinguish different species by just smelling.

 

Humans’ sense of smell is weaker than animals’ ones, but, parents can tell their baby from others by smell.

Ants can come back to their colony even after being away and signal a food trail to other members that belong to the same territory.

 

As many people link pheromones to sexual arousal, pheromones can be a trigger.

The scent of perfume sometimes attracts the opposite sex, for example.

Even the odour of sweat seems to work!

 

Do you know that many sprays or perfumes are on sale with claiming of their special effects for attracting a perfect mate?

A lot of famous brands claim that their products contain synthesized human pheromones produced by sexually active females and males in their 20s.

 

I am not sure about the effect.

Some connection between human pheromones and sexual arousal is reported to exist.

Still, seemingly it needs more research to confirm the fact.
