The topic of Matsumi Ladies Clinic Mita English blog in August is about the heart.
In the second part, I create an article about the hints to keep your heart healthy.
Is your heart healthy?
Many people die from cardiovascular diseases nowadays.
Heart attacks, angina and strokes occur from blocked blood vessels.
Such disfunctional blood vessels can trigger an abnormal heartbeat as well.
It often occurs among post-menopausal women because of a decline in the female hormone “estrogen.”
However, you can prevent cardiovascular diseases and keep your heart healthy for longer life.
Here are some hints to try!
①Stop smoking
Smoking is a culprit for your overall health.
Give it up immediately.
②No more couch potato
Try moving your body as much as possible.
How about cleaning your house?
Such a domestic chore can burn calories to slim your belly down.
Other fun activities, such as walking, running and swimming, are an acclaimed work-out by many medical experts.
③Eat fishes and Cut the fat
Eating omega3-fatty acid prevents heart diseases.
Add more fishes into your daily meal, and cut down foods with saturated fat.
④Avoid salty food
To reduce the amount of salt, check out the salt quantity on the label of each food package before shopping.
Ready-made meals typically have lots of salt.
⑤Eat dark chocolate
Dark chocolates have a heart-friendly “flavonoid”, which helps lower the risk of heart diseases.
⑥Drink green tea
Take one to three cups of green tea per day helps to ward off angina and heart attacks.
⑦Enjoy wine
Drinking alcohol in moderation will increase good cholesterol, which is preventative for clotting blood.
⑧Laugh a lot
Laughing can reduce your stress level.
Watching a comedy or chatting friends will be a great way to keep you fit.
Stay healthier for your long life!
