The topic of Matsumi Ladies Clinic Mita English blog in October is about legs and feet.

As you know, insects have six legs and vertebrates have four.

In the first part, I create a blog about four surprising facts about legs.

Everybody’s feet and legs are different shapes and sizes.

When trying on new shoes in a shop, I sometimes face the situation that one shoe fits, but the other does not.

“My feet are not the same size, is it strange?”

However, for many people, one foot is slightly larger than the other.

Interestingly, almost all people who do not have the same size feet have a larger left foot.

How’s yours?

Are you aware that your feet tend to expand in the evening?

You should bear in mind that when you buy new shoes, shop for them in the afternoon or ideally, in the evening.

Animals have their feet.

Squirrels and dogs have sweaty feet because their sweat glands are between footpads and between toes.

During hot summer, you many find their footprints on the road.

Are you annoyed by mosquitoes?

In Japan, there are many mosquitoes during the summer.

Surprising or not, several research suggest that mosquitoes prefer people with smelly feet.
