English blog (52) : Blood (3)|まつみレディースクリニック|港区・田町・浜松町の産科・婦人科・不妊|女医在籍

The topic of Matsumi Ladies Clinic Mita English blog in April is about blood.

In the third part, I create an article about blood types.

For human beings, there are major blood types: A, B, AB and O.

Many Japanese people are A blood type.

What is yours?

Over half of Britons are O.

Each blood type has positive and negative.

If your blood has a protein called the Rhesus factor (Rh factor), yours is “A positive”.

If it does not contain the protein, it is “A negative”.

Who can donate to other people with A, B, AB, O positive?

A person with O positive can donate those people, while the AB blood positive people can contribute to only AB positive people.

Mixing with incompatible blood type ends up with tragedy because of blood-clumps.

Japanese people like talking about blood types, believing that blood types tell personality.

According to some famous professor, people with A blood type are sensitive, cooperative, emotional, passionate and intelligent.

People with B blood type are very creative, quick decision-makers and don’t like taking orders.

AB blood type is charming and making friends quickly.

O blood type is generous, kind-hearted, resilient and flexible.

They can do better than other blood types in challenging situations.

These blood types are derived from the structures on the surface of red blood cells.

The red color of our blood reflects that of red blood cells.

There is a little known story about blood color.

You may wonder if some animals have yellow, blue, or pink blood.

I am not sure about yellow or pink, but it appears that lobsters, snails and spiders’ blood color is blue.

Not only that but also certain types of leeches have green blood.

Some marine worms blood is purple!
